PHO16804 is a 12 channel 16Gb/s VCSEL driver that can be used as a complete single-chip transmission solution in optical modules. This chip includes CML input, laser driver, and monitoring functions. By combining with VCSEL arrays, the conversion of electrical signals to optical signals can be fully processed. The center distance between the output pads between channels is 250 μ m to facilitate compatibility with standard optical interfaces. Each channel includes a VCSEL driver with eye shape shaping function and an equalizer with high input compensation capability, both of which can be controlled through an I2C serial interface.

The bare chip size of PHO16804 is 1975 μ m × 1600 μ m, supplied in waffle box packaging.
